Before you tell me your story..
Let me tell you mine..
My name is Kallee. I'm 26 years old, a self-taught photographer, mom, wife, and a creative at heart.
I grew up in a small farm town in Oklahoma, but all I wanted to do was pursue a more "fulfilling" path haha! I packed up and moved to Joplin, MO and got a BA in Psychology and Counseling. While in college, I invested in a camera, started taking pictures as a hobby, and the rest was history! Currently, I am a stay at home mom who loves the ability to use my spare time working on my photography business!
Here are a few fun facts about me:
- I LOVE being a stay at home mom and homemaker, and I don't know if I will ever be ready to go back to the actual work force. Being a mom and wife is a full time job alongside my photography business.
- I love investing into my friendships and community. Community is an integral part of my life and is also a very important part of photography. I love talking to my clients and getting to know them as well as pour encouragement into them any chance that I get.
- Mental health is something that really matters to me. I am diagnosed with anxiety and OCD, both of which I am learning to cope with. Therapy is something that I currently invest in, and ironically I think its funny because I majored in Psych & Counseling. With my understanding of mental health disorders, health problems, and the typical everyday anxiousness that we all can face, photo sessions with me can be an opportunity to talk, get something off your chest, need a nudge in the right direction, or some simple advice. I don't only want you leaving your session feeling good physically (because of the pictures), but I want you to be emotionally cared for even if it's just simple encouragement.
